General Assembly Renovates Brooklyn Loft

Posted on January 02 2017

Architecture firm General Assembly was recently renovating a loft in Gowanus, Brooklyn when they discovered original wooden fixtures that were part of an old vegetable factory. Instead of covering them back up, the studio decided to make them the focal point of the apartment. "This loft in a former jute mill was in a state of disrepair when we got our hands on it," said General Assembly. "Our approach was to combine many of the original elements with modern touches to create a space with a clean, contemporary, yet raw feeling." The loft features a bedroom, bathroom, office space, sliding doors, and plenty of sunlight. Take a look at the interior below and click here for more.
